TRAINING WITH PILATES

bd3By stimulating the body as a single unit, Pilates encourages fitness, toning, body alignment and efficiency of movement. Body Divine’s breathing-based, low-impact techniques build strong, supple, and healthy bodies by focusing on core strength, flexibility, cosmetic muscle moulding and the optimal use of our specialised Pilates equipment.

Thanks to the expertise of Body Divine’s key instructor, Sarah Laatz, your personal needs are addressed in a safe, professional environment, through bespoke routines that optimise results. We transform bodies of all ages and fitness levels by:

  • improving fitness and tone,
  • reducing stress, headaches and tension,
  • complementing exercise and sports regimes, and
  • supporting the treatment of lower back pain.

PREGNANCY PILATES

‘Preggilates’, unlike other forms of exercise, doesn’t strain the joints or the back. In fact, the back, stomach and pelvic muscles are strengthened, allowing for an easier pregnancy, delivery, and recovery from childbirth. Further, through improved posture and circulation, Pilates also addresses other common pregnancy concerns, like:

  • Back pain
  • Clumsiness / changing centre of gravity
  • Waddling
  • Varicose veins
  • Swollen legs and feet
  • Oxygen supply to the baby during labour

At Body Divine, we tailor our classes to your fitness level and stage of pregnancy, so you have a gentle, focused routine right up to the last few weeks. Many of our exercises are performed on your hands and knees, which takes strain off your back and pelvis and can help to get your baby into the right position (head down) for birth. Contact us to find out more.
